I’m surprised by my celestial pearl danios I’ve had for years. I kept them in a planted 10g, and they spent most of their lives hiding in the cabomba near the bottom.

Got my new 75g community set up and decided to put them in and see how they do.

Now they spend a ton of time at the surface, they love the floaters, and freely swim about the open waters, unafraid of the gouramis and periodically joining the tetras. During feeding time they hold their own as well.

I wonder what makes them feel so secure. The tetras maybe?

  1. Perhaps the tetras (glass bloodfin?) are serving as dither fish? Wow your CPD’s are colourful! Is this video colour enhanced or natural?
