I’m looking to purchase my first boat to fish with my family. I found this 1990 Starcraft Fish Hunter 160. It’s being sold by its original owner, 75hp mariner 3 cylinder motor. Trailer needs new tires and a fender. It’s listed at $3750 but I negotiated it down to $2900. Do you think I should go for?
I do have a video of the owner running the motor with a hose but I’m not sure what to make of it. Let me know if you like me to dm you.

I’d take it out on the water first.
Had that same motor on my old skeeter. Might’ve gotten a good one, but I’ve never had a motor on anything be as tough and reliable as that one was. It would start right up and run great on 3 year old gas after sitting in the garage unused for years at a time.
