A few weeks ago I got this black orchid male betta for a small 3.5 gallon tank a friend gave me. This weekend I upgraded him to a 5 gallon Spec 5 tank.
In just the few weeks I’ve had him He is making huge strides and his tail is filling out even more. Hes even playing nice with some Cherry shrimp that came with the tank (that also made the move).

Gf and I were at petco today. She bought a baby betta (like bro was TINY) and I saw a black orchid betta. The only reason I didn’t buy him is because I cant justify buying a new rank. But this post is officially my sign of getting a black orchid betta for wild color shifts
