Fly fishing, although I have never tried seems quite difficult and the equipment is quite expensive, I would try fishing with a float and some worms if I was you. Good luck!

2 different types of fishing. One for beers getting a buzz on and the other for feeling the fish

Fly fishing takes a lot of practice, worm and bobber takes very little. Not discouraging you from learning fly, but if you just wanna go out and catch a fish as a newbie, stick with the classic.
