I have this aquarium salt but I’m hesitant to use it because it has aloe vera and I’ve seen some people saying it’s harmful and others saying it’s fine.

Google says it’s safe, it’s helps create a slime coating which will protect your betta. I’m no expert so someone correct me if I’m wrong

Not really. In quantities that are okay for other fish it may overstimulate slimecoat production and cause the labyrinth organ to clog. It’s a great med at **half** the ‘normal’ dose, tho. This holds true for all slimecoat stimulating meds.

Like any good med it’s all about the dosage, the only thing you absolutely shouldn’t use with Labyrinth Breathers like Betta and Gourami are any Oil-based meds, as Oils may clog the labyrinth organ and aren’t easy to get out of there. While not a immediate death sentence if treated correctly, it’s avoidable and extremely stressful for the fish.
