I recently changed the substrate in my aquarium from gravel to sand about 2 weeks ago and just noticed this in the tank this morning. What could this be? I’ve never had sand substrate before so this is new to me. Thanks in advance

From your water flow
The continuous flow of the filter output pushes the sand away over time.

Your filter is flowing directly to that spot. Water moves sand.
It from the water flow coming out of the filter
You’ve just discovered how erosion works. Congrats.
This looks really small for a goldfish
Happened to me too. My corys love it

Are you fucking kidding me? Lol
Looks cool though.
This belongs on r/shittyaquariums NOT here 🙄 tf is wrong with people
Your boyfriend does know fish species, this is not a bed from the goldfish. They do not spawn this way. It’s from the water flow. Pretty simple.
My tank does the same thing to the sand where the water flows. I put some larger gravel in a circle right there. Goldfish love to explore the little area and play in the flow there.
