After reading all of your very helpful and kind feedback, I went and bought some more potent filter media and large plants to help reduce the bioload of the tank. I also wrangled out some of the minnows, although they’re hard to catch so I may need to try again tomorrow. With a water change and fresh filter pads, let’s see how the quality cleans up over the next few days! Thanks, y’all.

Genuinely, it already looks better. Still crowded, but definitely much better! Good job.
