I apologize if this is a repeat, but it looks like my first post went missing.
I’m a 44 year old, 5’1” tall woman. I have a bonafide SS107 that hasn’t gotten in the water in a few years because I cannot move it on my own. Previously, my (now ex)bf had a truck and would help.
My vehicle is a Toyota RAV4. I really want to be able to get my yak around on my own, but getting it on top of my SUV will probably not be in the cards. I’m willing to get a hitch (priced at around $600), and am willing to spend up to about $600 more.
What is the best option? Do they make trailers just for a kayak that can handle highway speeds? (My fav group of lakes to fish in is about 45 minutes away).
It really feels like this just isn’t in the cards for me because I’m shorter and not strong enough. Any advice would be great.

look for a sea doo/jetski trailer in your area on fb marketplace. That or a small utility trailer that you can bolt some runners onto.
