New betta, my first betta, I think I am overthinking everything and need assurance that his fins are okay. Sometimes the look a little damaged and sometimes I look at him and he looks fine.

I think his fins look alright, if you’re concerned just keep an eye on it. I get why you’re paranoid, since I myself get paranoid about my bettas’ health, but he looks healthy.

They look fine to me, I don’t see any signs of fin rot. If you’re worried about his fins, my advice is making sure none of his decor is sharp so they don’t tear or damage them. You can also buy Stress Coat. I use API Stress Coat. You can buy it at any pet store, I’m pretty sure. It tells you how much to put in based on your tank size. It says it makes tap water safe, but I still use a filter. I use a Berkey water filter. Whenever you change the water, just put in the amount of stress coat the directions tell you to per amount of gallons you have (The lid is a measuring cup) Hope this helps!

  3. Do you have any more pics? The second one looks a little dicey in the caudal, but its really hard to determine because his fins are so translucent naturally.
