I finally booked a plumber to connect my water line so that I can run my constant water change system. In preparation for that I decided that I needed a way to vacuum my sand without draining water as you would with a python.
What possible solution could there be other than a canister vacuum? 4" PVC, some fittings and a pump later…Behold! Ken's Canister Cleaner 1.0!!!
Going with a slightly former and longer hose next. Otherwise, the power is good and just about right so that I'm not constantly sucking sand up. Fun little project.
