A local guy posted that he was moving and didn't want to take his fish with him.

I picked up his 3 gallon tank with the gravel substrate, little fake plastic plant, and plastic hiding spot (temporarily in my tank for now). No heater or filter, and when the tank would start to smell, he'd put the fish in a cup, wash the tank with soap, refill it with tap water (treated), and pop the fish back in

He's now the new center-piece of my 29 gallon planted tank, heated to a lovely 78f, and has mollies/platies and some shrimp for tank mates, on top of a dirt and sand substrate, and being fed fresh food instead of flakes

He's not the prettiest fish (not sure I'd have picked this one out myself), but I'm happy to have given this guy a better life!
