In my experience, I’ve seen this when my snail shoved its self somewhere it didn’t really fit and scraped up its shell, or from when I had seashells in my tank and it through the ph way off balance and caused my snails shells to erode

White spots like that often indicates a calcium deficiency. With raised levels of calcium in the water and/or in its food, they will likely eventually disappear.
