Super lucky to go on a Grand Canyon rafting trip next week with a buddy who guides there. We are putting in at Lee’s Ferry and he mentioned I could fish while we are in that section. Anyone familiar with Lee’s Ferry and what would be working right now? Should I be tossing streamers or better off nymphing? Any fly shop recs that I should reach out to? I’m familiar with tailwaters but am open to any info or patterns I could tie up before I head out there. Pic for attention. Thank yall!

This is where the Zebra Midge was invented. *hint* *hint*
You can fish the whole way down, supposed to be amazing almost with almost no pressure. My dad floated it 2-3 times primarily with fishing as the point of the trip. You should really push to take your rod, if you can. Plenty of time to fish in the evenings. Powerboats can go up to the dam, fishing in the Marble canyon is amazing.
Lots of aquatic life, tons of crustaceans so shrimp/sow bug patterns are common along with other nymph patters. You can pull streamers deep through the big holes and pull up monsters.
