Hi everyone, just wanted to share something rare and a little bittersweet.
I found this conjoined twin guppy fry in my tank recently. At first, it was swimming (though struggling a bit), and I placed it in isolation to observe. Unfortunately, it didn’t survive long. The video and photo were taken shortly after it passed.
From what I can tell, it had two heads and shared a single body, each with its own pair of pectoral fins. Never thought I’d witness something like this firsthand.
I keep a low-tech planted tank with a fry colony, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this in years of fishkeeping. Just thought I’d document and share this with the community, in case others are curious or have had similar experiences.
RIP little guy(s).

Additional close-up photos after the fry’s death. Two heads, two sets of pectoral fins, shared body and tail. No visible injuries. Cause of death likely due to developmental complications. Sharing for documentation and reference. Photos may be graphic.
