10 gal with live plants, sand and pebbles, driftwood, and 2 hides. (terracotta pot and a porcelain vase) there are snails and tannis in there as u can see. I’ll add the heater and a gentler filter when it arrives

  1. deffinitively pretty good! It’s blackwater and bettas love that. But its a little empty – good hides! But low cover. You should try adding more plants. The open space could stress a betta.

You have gravel, so burying in little “sheets” some java moss would grow QUICK, and beautiful, along with providing a lot of safety for the betta’s feelings. Overall just more plants, and a betta would be riiiight at home and THRIVE in there!

It looks great though I’d add some more plants that provide more enrichment and resting spots.

Definitely add more plants, and if the terracotta pot has a hole in the bottom, you’ll want to stuff the hole with a bit of black sponge as your betta WILL try to swim through it and may get stuck.
