My father passed away and left me a bunch of his reels. I am keeping some and thinking about letting some go. One of them is a Penn International II 50TW with the word “Cavalier” on the side. My question is about that—I can’t find any information about this Cavalier model or any other examples online. I’m wondering if it’s a special edition or if it’s somehow different from a normal Penn International II. If anyone knows anything about this reel it would be greatly appreciated!

Just an engraving, very unlikely it was done at the factory. Sometimes people will do a boat name or similar. Reel is still viable, maybe get it serviced but I still use a set of these today, they were quality US built reels from the pre “pure fishing” days of Penn. IIRC the first two numbers in the SN are the year of construction.
