Can I use a Ned Rig for Bait and Wait? Just sink it and leave it there maybe 20 minutes? Or would these different styles work better? What reel in style have you used? – 9 photos

Endless they’re are bottom fish like catfish I don’t think it’ll be very effective. Most things aren’t gonna be interested in unscented bait sitting on the bottom

I fish the Ned rig a lot. I use all of the retrieves you have pictured. The Swim & Glide, Straight Swim and Hop & Bounce work best for me.
The key is using a light 1/32oz or 1/16oz light wire jighead. The slow fall rate of a Ned rig is what makes it so good. Using a heavier jighead defeats the purpose.
You could bait and wait but I don’t think that’s the most effective way to fish it. It’s not scented so there is nothing to attract a fish without some action. A lot of bites come on the initial fall and the small, subtle action from the retrieves.
