He has been in that tank for about 3 weeks now, I purchased him at Petco. A recent habit I've noticed is he sits near the bottom of the tank but will occasionally swim around. I have some type of floater I forgot the name, Java fern, Java moss, that grass carpeter (forgot the name) and I have hornwort being added tonight. There's a filter and heater the water has heavy tannins and the ammonia is a bit high right now because I can't do a water change until tomorrow due to someone threaten to kick me out if I do (since we have guests and apparently my fish' life is less important than my bitch ass aunt) will he be okay, is he okay? If not what do you recommend I do? Thank you

Clamped fins are a sign of stress, it’s probably the ammonia. You can’t have ammonia in your tank, it’ll kill your fish pretty quickly (my last died of ammonia poisoning). I suggest doing a water change immediately. Your tank looks beautiful though!
