I was scrambling around a jetty this week and realized that some of the rocks were granite or something else that was too hard for the carbide spikes on my Korkers soles to get a good bite. I had the aluminum bar soles in the car, but they aren’t good for seaweed covered rocks. So I mixed them up. It worked pretty well. I’m thinking that when the water warms up and I’m climbing onto rocks in the water I’ll want the spikes by the toes, so I may try some different configurations. What do you guys think?
