Aquariums: any shrimp safe snail that eats hydra ?
I don’t wanna douse the tank in chemicals so what snail would guaranteed eat hydra and won’t harm shrimp?

Google ai says ramshorn, pond, and spixi snails are known to eat hydra. Asolene spixi, also known as the zebra apple snail, is another type of snail that has been observed to consume hydra.
I’d try feeding the tank less and cleaning it up a bit if there’s lots of decaying plant matter or other detritus.
I also recently had an outbreak of them in my blackwater tank, but they come and go depending on the amount of microfauna present. The shrimp colony was untouched, with tiny shrimplets being all over the place.

I had hydra and think they killed daphnia. Some yoda snails helped eat the hydra.
