I love going for big fish on my "ultra light" gear.
shimano FX 2550A and mitchell 308 with 4lb mono
I was letting the fish tire itself out while i took the picture of the rod bending over
I took my picture and quickly and gently returned the bass to the water, so other people can fight it later.

Fish was by my estimate, in the 3-4 pound range. Big, but not giant. Apparently there’s 10 pound hogs in the lake
