I’m thinking about putting my 2.5 Yamaha on my kayak. The transom I have on my kayak works for electric but I’m not sure if it will work for my gas motor. I attached pictures. Please let me know what you guys think.

Should be fine, but you may want to consider adding a plate to help with the additional torque. I haven’t seen a native with one but a buddy of mine runs a nucanoe unlimited with a 2.3 Honda and it doesn’t seem too powerful or unmanageable
Edit: there appears to be a plate already, missed it in the photos

I believe that transom works for gas as well. I have a Suzuki 2.5 4stroke on the back of my yak. And then a trolling motor up front. But I have a different transom mount.
