The Daiwa minispin kit is a 4’6” 4- piece UL rod paired with a strikeforce 1000-B reel. This is my go to creek setup that I strap to my side while I fish with a fly rod. It’s short enough to not get caught up on vegetation while I walk through the woods to different spots. This last time, I threw a bitsy minnow to hit some panfish beds and it was a blast. I’ve brought in some decent 1-2lb bass on it by throwing wooly bug plastics!

Biggest complaint is the case is hard to manage with putting the rod pieces back; however, it does have strap-in points to lash it to a hiking backpack which is nice. The reel is also cheap ($20) but shockingly smooth for a 1 bearing system. I just try not to treat it rough.
