Fenwick Elite Bass rod – I’m missing the half inch cork cap that covered the plastic end cap. What should I buy and how can I replace this myself? Open to a slight extension with a cork fighting butt but how would I attach it with the plastic end cap in the way? Does the plastic end cap pull out? Can I heat up the glue to remove it?

It would bother me to the point I would need to do do something. You could cut down some tennis racket grip tape and build it up, might balance the rod nice too- not how it would effect the weight as compared to cork. Would probably be a $100 repair which I don’t think is worth it. You be better off buying a new one and selling the old one to offset the cost.
Glue a big butt cap on it and forget about it. Otherwise, you have to go the other way around. From the top.
Get [cork rings](https://a.co/d/84GoC3y) to replace the missing cork. Drill out the inside diameter of the cork ring to fit, glue on with epoxy, then sand the outside to finish.
I put rubber chair tips on all my rod butts. For this one, I’d get one the right size and either trim it to fit or fill it partway with epoxy and smush it on.
