    I used to catch brim like that all the time. I’d get a bobber with about a foot and a half of line below it hook the brim through the lips and cast it out. Bass will demolish those

    Those smaller pumpkinseeds are aggressive as hell and fast. They like to rush the bait faster than the big ones do. I always use smaller hooks and bait when catching panfish, less chances of one of those guys absconding with your bait.
    Deadly panfish method:
    Size 8 Aberdeen hook [shinier the better], just enough weight to allow the bobber to stand up straight, keep the weight just under the bobber to allow the bait to slowly sink. Redworms are great because they’re smelly and bring the fish in, waxworms are great when you’ve located the fish and want to keep your hands clean. Panfish LOVE the slow sink. The long shank of the Aberdeen hooks allow for easier removal, even in the event of a deep mouth hook.
