Got a new line on the DAM 5200 reel. The local flyshop recomended a RIO þytur 7w and it feels great!
The rod is a fiberglass Noris Shakespeare quality 1701.
Belonged to my stepdads father and it will definitely see some use with me!
I really like this old rod. From the looks to the action.
Went to a lake to test it but did not catch anything. I cant wait to get the first fish on it!

my grandpa died at 77, 20 years ago (his reels might be made of stone and brontosaurus). I break out one or two old reels of his, a couple of times a year. Mostly just to watch my buddy cringe after he shows me his new 1300 dollar rod/reel set up. I have just as great a trip and at times,I catch more/larger fish than he does.
