so first off, i’m loving the subreddit. everyone is so unbelievably helpful, and kind. now i need the hard answers. please tell them these little white worms (not scratches on the glass. though i wish they were.) are not planaria and my tank isn’t dead. i’ve been cycling it for a little under a month, as we have a betta we want to add purple harlequin raspboras as well (i’m so excited for these!)
we’ve got some hitchhikers from our christmas moss (bladder snails and ramshorn) but i’m just praying this doesn’t mean the tank is killed and we have to start over, i’ve also noticed a LOT of new mini hydras ( i think they’re hydras at least, i have another post questioning them you can find it on my profile i’m sure) but that’s it for livestock currently.
it’s a 35 gal, with tropica sprite, dwarf water lettuce, banana leaf plant, and the christmas moss i mentioned earlier. used nutrafin cycle and aqua+ (switching to seachem) and API leaf zone for fertilizer. it has a aqua tech 20-40 gal filter and an air stone with filter media as a buffer for weaker current. air stones gonna get taken out once our betta is put in (she’s a dumbo so the strong bubble current won’t do it for her, it’s mostly for oxygenation for the plants)
