Hey yall I just bought an okuma 9ft rod with a 4000size reel. I’m wondering if I should return it and spent an extra 50-60 for either of these rods with better specs. The marathon has a 8000size reel while the ugly has a Shakespeare 7000 size.

Don’t get the big water stuff. If you must get a combo, spend a few more bucks and get a Penn combo.
