I took it out today and wasn't actually able to fish. The wind swept me away and into a bay where I spent quite a while fighting to get back to the boat launch. A good portion of that was just attempting to rotate so that I wasn't broadside to the wind.

I live in a windy place, so this might be a deal breaker.

If youre only concerned about not being broadside, sea anchor is your friend. Tie a bucket to the back and drop it into the water and the drag will keep your canoe paralell to the wind
