Just picked up a lure retriever on Amazon, wondering if people have had success with these in the past and if they recommend them at all? Tips and tricks are also welcome too.

In my opinion they only work well from a boat. If you can get right over top of your snag, these can work about half of the time. If you’re on the bank and ten yards away from the snag, I’ve found it hardly ever works.

I have had a lure retriever in my tackle box for over 15yrs and have never used it. I have fished from both my boat and the bank.
