I just got 9 new kuhli loaches 4 days ago, and they're constantly running up and down this side of the tank. Ammonia, nitrate are zero, nitrite is very low. Is this normal behavior?

That’s normal.

Nitrite is toxic, more damaging than ammonia. “Very low” is still dangerous. Are you sure you aren’t confusing nitrite and nitrate? In an established tank, nitrate should be low, nitrite should be zero.
ETA This is not necessarily abnormal kuhli behavior, but the parameters are potentially concerning.

They’re very rambunctious when they come out of hiding but it could indicate poor water quality if you notice it go near the surface especially for air🤝 please have a lid, they’ll still manage to get out but it lessens the chances. Had one swim into the intake of my filter, the square holes were too small so he small all the way up the filter down the pad into the tube and he was twice it’s size😭
