Depends on what you are fishing for. The 1000 would be better for UL fishing but the 2000 might be better for crappie or small catfish or bass

I’ll be one of the first people to not trash on Googan as much as other people would, but, personally, I highly would recommend looking at other more reliable brands.
I’ve had Googan rods before, have moved them all to Daiwa as the quality is just substantially better for better price points too. At the price you’re showing here, I would rather buy a Daiwa Regal.
If this is your desired budget range, I’d highly recommend checking out Scheels right now as they just released a new series of combos, they’re all on Daiwa rods and reels for amazing price points too

Get a Shimano Nasci spin reel and be done. Same price as those and it is a fantastic reel.
