Delisle was in a two-passenger kayak with his girlfriend, Mya Ballard, just south of the Vietnam Memorial Bridge that connects South Hadley to Holyoke.

There was a recent one in Maryland too, on the Monocacy River. Authorities quickly found his kayak floating among other gear including the PFD he wasn’t wearing, but it took over a week to recover the body.
