New to trout fishing, is this a wild rainbow? Was told a few different things but some digging on the internet is leading me to believe this is a baby bow. Caught in Western NC for reference. Also, for my NC folks, only brooks are native but any juvenile would be considered wild?
Side note: Iâm currently using BFS but plan on grabbing a fly setup in the near future, is there any river/stream specific gear that you would recommend? Iâve got waders and plan on grabbing a smaller rubber net

I would consider that a âwildâ trout definitely not native, but yes, you are right, It is a rainbow.
