A black frog is a black frog. They’re good. Doubt the flake makes any difference at all. Especially if it’s not also on the bottom.

The underside of the frog is the only thing fish see, so black is great.

Most frogs in North America have whiteish/light yellow-brown bellies. There are odd circumstances where frog lure colors might make a difference but when you’re working a frog across some Lilly pads or duckweed, the bass won’t see anything but the underside so it really won’t make a difference what you see above the water. It’s good to have a few variations in your tackle box but mostly natural colors are the way to go.
