Digging through some VERY old boxes of tackle and assorted gear that I have been keeping at my parents house for eons… is this worth the time to pull apart and service and maybe put back into rotation. I know it’s technically not a “salt” or a “surf” reel… but ya know.

Depends does it hold sentimental value for you. If it does great if it doesn’t well decent reels are cheap and who cares if you bought a cheap reel for less then what a half a carton of Marlboros cost.
