While the last prototype sported a radial sealed drivetrain suitable for saltwater exposure and low pressure immersion, I didn't like the airfoil rudder steering and center of gravity in choppy conditions.

Presenting an incomplete early version 2 (prop cage not fabricated yet, but will be soon). Clocking in around the same weight as your average 100ah battery (33 lbs), its 2.5hp of lean, mean, air moving machine [scraped together out of cut-offs and spare parts]. No drilling into the kayak whatsoever.

Pending a successful wet run, next up is designing a remote starter and 3d printing of safety shrouds to cover all moving parts. I'm assuming this will be a bit swifter in the water than the last design which capped out around 6mph.
