I bought these after two "oh shit" days out on Boston Harbor and haven't really used them for more than a trial on pretty flat water since then. Installed per instructions but they don't instill much confidence. Went up front with the mounts to accommodate landing fish while trolling.
I've been toying with the idea of cutting a piece of PVC to wedge between the left and right mounts for a little support.
The Salty is fast and nimble and easier to transport, but I'm worried about taking expensive gear out on it.
