This is a picture of a 5 gallon glow fish tank I just set up next to my wife’s 3 gallon betta tank. I still need a heater in the 5 gallon and she just told my the white rocks will move during cleaning 😅

I still need a heater and was Thinking of putting a betta in here’s with some Tetras &/or Shrimps. Or some other Fish that usually work well with bettas.

I was thinking even cory Dora’s because they also come in a glow fish breed.

Her Bettas Name is Stitch.

A 5 gal is pretty small to be adding other fish as well. I would consider other tankmates instead, like snails. You want about a 20 gallon before you start adding fish tankmates, especially with bettas. If there aren’t enough places to hide or enough space to swim, it can very quickly turn into a blood bath.

  2. tetras are schooling and also small enough that the betta will hunt them. try snails and shrimp first. beware that without plenty of places to hide, theyre going to be eaten. might be better to put your wife’s betta in the 5gal and put a few shrimp in the 3gal! 3 is small for a betta anyway, could be a nice upgrade.
