Well, I made a post asking about what to use for micro fishing not long ago on here. I have some things picked out (thanks to those who commented) that I am going to buy, but I am notoriously impatient. So today i cut a willow switch, peeled the bark and dried it in the sun for several hours. After that I tied a section of line and a tiny hook from my wife's tackle box to the tip. I then headed to the tiny little brook, behind my house, that dries up almost completely every year and threw in. I couldn't belive that I caught a brook trout. I was only expecting creek chubs and/or minnows (idk if creek chubs is the right name, that's just what we call them around here). Thank you so much for the advice. I am addicted to another type of fishing now.

Northern vt.

  1. I also was unaware of needing to wet my hands when handling these guys. I will 1000% do it every time going forward

Off to a great start! Get yourself a little notebook to keep track of your microfish catches, it adds to the fun
