Hello!!!! So today I noticed my blue acara pair pushing a clam shell around, and then the female was rubbing on it and I looked closer and!!! Eggs!!!!!!

I have a sailfin pleco, golden severums and yoyo loaches in that aquarium besides the blue acaras themselves, do you have any recommendations on what to do?

Do I try to seperate the tank in two parts???? Move the parents and eggs into another aquarium???? Wait until the eggs hatch and then do something?

  1. Congratulations! Just leave it. They’re excellent parents and will protect their offspring. They might become a bit aggressive to other fish getting too close tho, so if you’re worried about your other fish consider putting them in a different tank 🙂
