Aquariums: Can this table hold an 80 gallon aquarium?
I have a 4ft aquarium and just wondering if this will be sufficient? It would be placed fairly in the middle. The table is 6ft long.

If the iron pipe also goes underneath the ends of the table to support the planks good.

Amazon has stands made to hold 100 gallon aquariums for $160-$200. I know it’s not exactly cheap but, peace of mind and has plugs and storage… might be something worth considering.

Stand on it. If it wobbles, nope.

It looks like it can hold up to 20gallons max. The legs don’t have enough support to withstand the tank longterm

Trust me you will want an actual aquarium stand for something with that much water and weight. Additionally you will probably want something with concealed storage underneath for all the supplies needed to keep a tank that size going.

For 80 gallons your looking at over 700 pounds of a load that can slosh and move (live load). The legs are not apparently angle braced at all. I would be afraid of that. Plus those little tiny leg ends could punch holes through the floor depending on what it sets in. It a NO imo

If you put said board top on the floor without the legs then yes. The top is nice I wouldn’t put a fishtank on it and use it more as a kitchen counter.

I would say the black iron pipe legs could easily hold the weight but as other have stated, the stability would be concerning. There’s little in the way of stabilizing cross braces. The only way I’d be comfortable with this is if it’s securely fastened to a wall. Angle iron with lag bolts into studs, sort of thing.

An 80 gallon tank can weigh around a half ton filled. No way I would trust that table to hold that much weight.

Not even the empty tank.

Don’t try used furniture it wasn’t made for fish tanks. Try for a used fish tank stand, they should be available online or local yard sales
