How big are they ? I know perch and strippers hit grub or paddle tails , maybe they’d hit these but I’d rather throw something that looks like a fake shrimp or bait fish instead
Some fish hit anything that moves so it’s hard to say they won’t work …. But you could always try to return them and get shrimp from Walmart lol

Probably a bit better in 2-2.5” range. If want to use suggest adding a stinger hook (treble) or will miss bunch of short bites.
Plastics definitely get bit by halibut and croakers but most of those fish are relatively small in shallow water SoCal surf.
