Oof. That’s an interesting break. How did that happen? What reel is that?

    I guess… buy a new, sturdier reel?

Buy a new one or use zip ties. Zip ties are not comfortable on the hand. I’d replace it personally

I’m not a fishing reel mechanic but I am an engineer and this doesn’t look repairable to me. Even if you could get replacement parts I suspect the cost wouldn’t be worth it. Time for a new reel.

Buy fishing reel wrap, dudes who custom make rods don’t always have a reel seat. Rod wraps will work great

Yea that’s a tough (and uncommon) spot for a break. I’m not sure if zip ties alone would hold that, it might slip off. If you’re handy you could try carving/fitting some type of splint or shim from a hard plastic or wood material, and epoxy it to the reel. Easiest solution would just be getting a new one. Can look at FB marketplace or OfferUp too

Buy a new one, exactly the same, replace the spools, and return it saying it broke within warranty period
