My father in law gave me an old Abu Garcia rod and reel. After taking it apart and cleaning it and putting it back together I’ve developed a strong attachment to this rod. I’ve even caught my bass PB on it. Yesterday I unloaded my son’s car seat from the car and when I closed it I heard a snap. I closed my eyes and said I’ll ask Reddit in the morning.
So is this fixable? I love this thing but if I can’t fix it I’ll have to look for a replacement part (rare and hard to find) or I’ll have to make it a wall hanger. Thanks for reading and looking forward to advice.

That’s almost impossible for old glass fiber rod. Which rod is it? I’m located in Sweden and could potentially lead you the right way. We have lots of old Abu parts floating around here, for reels and rods.
You just got yourself a new wallhanger. If you do repair the rod it won’t be very durable.
