Do I need to add a spacer or remove? The sides look even but the very top and bottom are not? Maybe it will work itself even when fishing? Never had a reel do this before. Just put JBraid 20lb on this new reel using the wet cloth method and put plenty of pressure on the line.

This reel / rod has been the best bang for buck high end rig by a mile. Heavy duty as well
I’ve seen worse! Go fish and don’t worry too much about it.
Go fish! it’ll fix itself once you get the line out there.
You can’t judge the line lay until you’ve wet cast it a few times.
I have a reel where the line lay never looks right when re-spooled, but by the end of the first session on the beach looks perfect.
