This looks really like an end game solution, single solution stern mount motor with all the GPS goodies you need. Keeps the bow clean. Optional wireless foot controls.
Besides the obvious horrendous price, what are some of the downsides? Perhaps the need for 24v to use the full 55lb power?
I am glad more major companies are building products specifically for Kayak’s now

Stern control will make it kinda squirrelly. Wireless foot controls just sounds like a bad idea, probably not as snappy a response. Stern mounted trolling motors just offer limitations to utility. Drive well or not at all if you ask me.
It seems like a cool product, but the price is just impossible to get over with. It costs more than a brand new Hobie Outback, for an extra $1000 you could get an Old Town Autopilot 120.
