The Penn Spinfisher VI is on sale right now, pushing inventory to make room for the VII. The best deal on Amazon is the 6500 size for $158. Turns out I was looking for a new surf combo for my next OBX trip, so I ordered this and an 11ft Penn Squadron III for $83. Arriving on Thursday. I'm very excited for this sub $250 surf combo! I will upgrade the rod as needed, but I'm hoping to keep this reel forever.
