Yakattack has just announced a kayak motor that is essentially a rebranded Haibo Q007, which was released a few months ago and retails for $600 (CNY ￥4200) in China. Yakattack is asking for $1600.
I'm so disappointed as someone who bought hundreds of dollars of stuff from them. I thought I was supporting innovation in the industry. This is just too lame for a company famous for its original design.
And they print big “MADE IN THE USA” on the blackpak. And then designed in the US, made in China, which is fine. And then designed in China, COPIED by the US. What are you doing Yakattack?
