I just got a scorpion dc from Japan and it’s brand new I’ve never fished with it it has no line on it and I feel like it’s really loud whenever I real, I could be the line guide, or maybe something else I’m not sure, maybe it’s just normal and it’ll always do that and I’m over thinking, or maybe I need to oil the little silver bar, I don’t know, please help if you know what your talking about.

I’d say go do some test casts if it bothers you that much just grease it a tad. Sometimes the oil will settle in one side when it’s being shipped. Shimano reels are also notoriously geary sounding reels.
